Proudly brings the expert in Ammonia Refrigerant system to Jakarta.

One-day seminar addresses the long-felt need to have a seminar on Ammonia Refrigerant Systems. In the seminar, our expert Mr. Apichit will cover topics such as Designing Ammonia System Save and Safe, and Industrial Refrigeration for Foor Preservation. Standards such as ASHRAE Standard 15 and IIR Standard 2 will be covered also. CO2 system will be also covered briefly as part of the seminar.

Dr. Apichit Lumlertpongpana is currently Managing Director of I.T.C (1993) Co., Ltd. He received a B.E. Mechanical Engineer degree from King Mongkut Institute of Technology, North Bangkok Campus (KMIT-NB) in 1976.  He also received the Honorary Doctorate Degree of Mechanical Engineering (Ph.D. (Hon.)) in the academic year of 2007 from the Rajamangala University of Technology Isan, Nakornrachasima province, Thailand. He is acknowledged as Senior Professional Engineer, with a license no. 538.

Dr. Apichit Lumlertpongpana is a very well known in designed and installation of many Last scale refrigeration projects for 35 years. Those refrigeration projects cover many kinds of Marine products, Meat, Tropical Fruit and Vegetable processing facility. He also pioneers in large Ton-Hour of TES system. He was awarded First place from Both ASHRAE Technology Award and Thai National Identity of Science Research and Development in the years 2008. He contribute himself to represent Thai government to be an Expert in Refrigeration as a jury panel to judge the World skills International Competition and Serving many Engineering Society position.

He headed numerous Engineering associations and organizations position in Thailand, including Thailand Refrigeration Association, where he was the Founder and Vice-President for five years.  He is also the past President of KMIT North Bangkok Engineering Alumni, past President and B.O.G. of KMIT North Bangkok Alumni. Member of The Refrigeration Committee of Council of Engineers of Thailand (COE), Past President of ASHRAE Thailand Chapter, Active RVC-SA for Region XIII, and as the International Chief Judge/Expert for Refrigeration at the 1st GCC-Skills Competition in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, 7^th ASEAN Skills competition in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, 2010-Worldskills Americas in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil respectively, 8^th ASEAN Skills competition in Bangkok,Thailand.

Lecture Topics:

1) How to Design Ammonia System Save & Safe?

Explain the COP of different type of refrigeration flow diagram such as single stage, high stage booster, two stage compound, cascade with CO2 system and etc. together with real equipment photo and color full mimic diagram. Why the moist floor, fin spacing, sub-cooled liquid and heat recovery are related to energy saving?

Explain the advantage and dis-advantage of ammonia refrigerant. Utilize ASHRAE-Standard-15 and IIAR Standard -2 for safety purpose. How to prevent liquid hammer, hot gas propel liquid and liquid expansion?

2) Industrial Refrigeration for Food Preservation such as Abattoir, Meat, Poultry, Marine products, Vegetable and Tropical Fruit Processing plant

Explain the product flow and plant layout, refrigeration load requirement together with rule of thumb check figure for above mentioned factory. Product shrinkage, weight lost, hydro cooling and force air cooling.

This conference provides an opportunity for exchanging information among researchers and practitioners to share ideas, information, experiences, and new developments and future prospects in the area of HVAC & R and built environment.

The Asia Pacific Conference on the Built Environment (APCBE) was formally organized by the Malaysia Chapter and Singapore Association of ASHRAE members as a biennial event. In response to growing technology in HVAC&R, the scopes of the Conference have been expanded and the Conference will be held and hosted by the others chapters.

The 11th APCBE will be held in 2011 and hosted by Indonesia chapter in Jakarta Indonesia, on 20 - 21 October 2011.
